The Significance of Congo Square
Congo Square was a meeting point in New Orleans, where African slaves and other marginalised people such as the French Creole's were allowed to meet on Sundays. This was a meeting point of cultures and music. African rhythm met with European harmony and became Jazz Music. Congo Square is a birthplace of modern democracy.
